We have a homemade hooked woollen rug, depicting a golden sunshine. It lies on our laundry room floor by the sink. It was made by the family in the winter evenings in the 1960s!!! It has been washed a hundred times and dried on the line in the sun. Not only does it keep our feet warm in the winter, it also carries so many happy memories of carefree days when all the family were growing up together in harmony.
