FENG SHUI OFFICE TIPS

feng shui office tips
Clutter drains your energy and dampens your best intentions. It causes you to be sluggish and lack motivation, making it hard for you to concentrate.
A good working environment requires a steady flow of energy or chi whereas a cluttererd environment creates resistance to the natural energy flow in your office.
The first feng shui office tip is to declutter, clean and air your planned office space thoroughly. Get rid of any old energy. Your aim is to prepare the room to receive the renewed, supportive and inspiring positive flows of chi energies to give you a great feeling of future achievements and successes.
A tidy uncluttered office will enable you to focus on your job at hand, work enthusiastically and efficiently, accomplishing your goals and resulting in becoming a successful business person.
Always try to leave a tidy desk, organized papers, answered phone and computer messages by the end of the day’s work.
Feng shui office Tips for Office Lighting
Aim to have a light and airy office with a view of nature. If you are not fortunate to have this, use full spectrum lighting, or if this not possible have up-lighters which will give good light and lift up your spirits.
To bring the calming and grounding effects into your space, add green plants and choose a picture depicting the beautiful side of nature.

Feng shui office tips to help you to locate your home office in the best position
- Separate the relaxing atmosphere of the bedroom from the busy work vibes of the office. Try to locate the office as far away of the bedroom. If possible, use a room near the front door as this will re-enforce a strong relationship with the outside world and invite work colleagues directly into the office.
- You may wish to place a mat or bell outside your door to mark your personal space.

Tips for the location of your desk
- In a place where you can see people entering through your office door-(a powerful position).
- Placing your desk with your back to a solid wall-(symbolic support)-but keep the wall behind you devoid of any art work or information which may distract a visitor when in discussion with you.
- Placing your desk with side view to the window will give you natural light and avoids distraction for you that may interrupt your total focus on the job.
- Your office furniture must not obstruct the flow of the chi energies entering the room via the door or the window. If your office is so small that you do not have a free choice of desk positioning , then activate these chi energies by placing or hanging a crystal in the window.
- Mirrors should not be hung where they could symbolically double your work load. The only reason to hang a one is if your desk placement prohibits you from a view of your office door then position the mirror to reflect the entrance door. This will lend a sense of security that enables you to concentrate..
- For stimulating creativity, the office needs to contain curves, circles and ovals whilst for money management and decision making , rectangles and squares are the preferred shapes.
Office pictures, messages and favourite objects
- If you are setting any work related goals, stick messages up tidily and at eyelevel and within your field of vision.
- If you have no choice but to have the view of the office wall then hang an inspiring framed picture of something special to you. Choose a image that lifts the spirit and keeps you focused, or a scene of a winding river or road moving on to beautiful places to suggest that your career is moving forward. Representations of nature are also extremely reassuring in a business environment.
- If you have any certificates showing success in relevant areas of your life, hang them up in the office and enjoy looking at your own achievements.
- Arrange a few of your favourite images or objects that bring a smile to your face. Hang framed pictures of happy, confident and positive people but still keep the aura of your office, light, clean, uncluttered, joyful yet enabling you to concentrate totally on your chosen goal.
- To build trust and to help people to relax, weave organic materials into your workspace. Use wicker baskets, wooden paper trays, crystal paperweights, ceramic mugs etc.
