Energy Efficient Appliances
When you need to buy a new appliance, it makes sense to upgrade it and study a range energy efficient appliances. The Government has made the job easier by introducing all sorts of labelling.
Look for the
Energy Saving Recommended Logo. This is your guarantee that these products are the most energy efficient in their category, will cost less to run and help lower CO2 emissions. Labels range from A to G, A being the best.
The Energy Efficiency Recommended logo is a scheme operated by the Energy Saving Trust.
The European Union Ecolabel, a flower looking symbol, appears on some goods which have a lower environmental impact than similar products performing the same function.
The Energy Star Programme (USA) is awarded only to those appliances that significantly exceed the minimum national efficiency standards.
