How to Clean a Dirty Baby Stroller

When you wish to know how to clean a dirty baby stroller, do check to see if you still have the instructions that came when you bought your baby stroller.

These instrucions will tell you how to remove any loose covers and how to wash the fabric.
They should also inform you what is the best type of oil with which to oil the wheels of the dirty baby stroller.
There is nothing worse than having to struggle with pushing your pushchair because the wheels are clogged up with dirt.

2) Follow instructions.

If you do not have instructions then try following these suggestions.

1) If necessary, remove the loose seat cover. The cover is usually attached by press studs and the seat belt can be threaded through some slots in the fabric thus releasing the cover. If you have no makers instructions then either wipe the surface of the fabric or put it into a light machine wash. I hand washed and dried my stroller's seat cover on a sunny day and hung it on the line. That worked well.

2) If you have no extra seat covers you can just wash out the seat of the pram using a cloth and warm soapy water and then giving it all a good rinse. On a sunny day, you could even use a hose to give it a really good wash. Maybe this is only a good idea for an older stroller!

3) Wash the frame in the same way by using a cloth and soapy water and then rinsing it off and drying the frame with a soft cloth.

4) The wheels may need attention. Give then a good clean and make sure the wheels turn smoothly. They may need oiling.

5) Now you are in the mood, check that all the working are in good condition.

Does the stroller fold with ease or does that area need some attention?

Does the hood fit correctly? Does that need a bit of a clean?

Is the article storage facility under the stroller torn and needing attention?

Are the little useful pockets on the stroller empty and clean?



All this work and all this checking but now you should have a clean and beautiful stroller.

It is good for you and good for your child to have a clean stroller. It is really a good idea to clean it frequently in a general way but every now and again to give it a through spring clean.
