Declutter and Organize the Bedroom for a Sounder Sleep
Declutter and Organize the Bedroom for a Sounder Sleep.
Sleep is so important for our health.
Our bodies force us to sleep for at least a minimum amount of time necessary to keep our bodies functioning.
If sleep is poor then people tend to become stresses, tired and run down.
Sleep is a rhythmic pattern of light and deep sleep.
To keep healthy we need to have sound sleep.
There are 3 distinct phases of sleep:
Light Sleep, which is usually the first phase of sleep.
Slow Wave Sleep, that occurs about twenty minutes after the Light Sleep and usually lasts for about two hours. During this time the body repairs itself activating the immune system.
REM Sleep when the it is thought that the mindjuses this time to organize, file and intall the new patterns learnt during the previous day.
We usually wake from the REM Sleep
A good night’s sleep is essential for health.

Here is how to create a clutter free and organized bedroom, resulting in a calm oasis in which to relax at the end of a busy day and receive a rewarding and reviving sleep.
After a good night’s sleep, you will wake up feeling refreshed, full of vitality and enthusiasm to enjoy a new day.
Open the closet doors. Do you risk being buried under an avalanche of clothes!?
Sometimes our closets and drawers seem to be full to bursting, yet we seem to having nothing suitable to wear nor beautiful clean bed linen when required!
Is it time for a clear out and a mass drop off at the charity shops?

Declutter
and
Recycle.
Some people suggest a three bag policy. One bag for things for the charity shop, one for the rag recycle and the third for not sure! This third pile can be sorted at a later date when items have a use or not and only then returned to the closet or taken to charity.
Storage Space
Have plenty and keep useful clothes and possessions tucked neatly away
Lighting Soft and defused lighting promotes restfulness and intimacy. Candles and lamps in pairs symbolize harmony and togetherness.
Plants and
Furniture
Round leaved plants are soothing as is furniture with rounded corners.
Beds,
Mattresses
and
Headboards.
Headboards protect the head and make the sleeper feel more secure.
An ideal mattress must be of utmost comfort and needs careful choice.
The position of the bed can influence the quality of sleep. Facing north will help to overcome insomnia and facing north west will promote a longer and deeper sleep. You can read more about this in books about Feng Shui.
Bed Linen For a sound and restful sleep, try to use bed linen made of cotton, linen or silk.
Floor Coverings. To create a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, a fitted carpet is just great.
Wall Coverings
Pastel colors are restful. Avoid
mirrors
on walls. Have them in the closet or bathroom. A mirror can reflect the problems of the day and disturb the quietness of the bedroom.
Window Coverings
Use thermal curtains where possible and keep them tightly closed while you sleep, especially if the windows are open. A still atmosphere will promote a restful sleep.
Everything neat and everything tidy but let your room contain uplifting and cheerful elements to make it a pleasant place in which to sleep and then to wake and begin a new day.
