Candle Wax and Carpet Stains
If the article is a carpet or something delicate and will not take the hot iron, ONLY a responsible adult should try the following method.
- Find a long handled instrument for holding the absorbent towel, kitchen roll or brown paper onto the stain.
- Set the hot iron on the steam setting.
- Place the paper towel or other absorbent material on the wax stain.
- Hold the paper towel down with your long handled instrument.
- Hold the iron just above the stain that is covered by the paper towel.
Be very careful not to burn your fingers!
- Let the paper towel soak away the wax stain. Keep changing the paper towel until the stain is no longer visible.
- As the iron does not touch the paper, this method will avoid making burn marks on the article in question.
