BICYCLE STORAGE
One bike, two bikes, three bikes, four
Five bikes, six bikes, seven bikes more
Nowadays, there is really no need to lean the bikes one on top of the other against the garage wall when there are so many innovative ways to store them out of the way but easily reachable. Plan well to choose the very best to suit your needs.
Bicycle Floor Racks and Bike Stands
Free-standing racks are stable and made of steel. They can be obtained to hold one or more bicycles of any shape and size. Some racks have three way adjustable arms to hold up the bicycles and others are arranged so the back or front wheels or tyres are inserted into customised slots.
Bicycle Poles, Gravity Bike Stands, Wall Leaning Stands and Folding Floor Bike Stands are also free standing and are suitable for holding one to six bikes.

They say Don't drive your car,
Save the earth.
Get on your bike,
Reduce your girth!
They forget The garage is littered
With bikes on the floor,
With tools for the garden
And junk galore.
So Hang up the bikes,
Arrange the shelves,
Make room for the car
And enjoy yourselves!
Wall Mounted Bicycle Racks
Bicycles can be stored vertically or horizontally. They come in different sizes to hold different numbers of bicycles.
VERTICAL STORAGE SAVES 35-45% OF THE FLOOR SPACE AGAINST HORIZONTAL STORAGE.
Vertically stored bikes can be hung either by the back or front wheel or by the tyres.
One simple hook attached to the wall can hold one bicycle vertically.
HORIZONTAL STORAGE.
Some wall hung frames storing one or two bikes can be folded against the wall and out of the way when not in use.
You can buy small, simple bike hooks on which bikes can be hung from either the wall or the ceiling.
You could choose wall mounted racks with fixed arms holding up to four cycles.
Another storage idea is a wall mounted bucket shaped item which screws to the wall and the bicycle bar clicks into place across its middle.

Ceiling Mounted Hoists for Bicycle Storage
A bike hoist allows the hanging of one or two bicycles from the ceiling. A pulley system with a special rope-locking mechanism prevents accidental release. The hoist is engineered to lift heavy bicycles effortlessly and has a 50lb/22kg capacity.
(It is wise to check if the garage joists or ceiling are strong enough to carry the weight of the loaded hoist.)

Bicycle Shelter
If you are lucky enough to have space outside the garage to safely store your bicycles then a purpose built shelter may be the answer. There are shelters of all shapes and sizes to choose from.
Now the bikes are on a rack
Please make sure to hang them back
Always after every hike REMEMBER
Racks are there to store your bikes!
